Please select a race report below: RACER'S FEEDBACK
Date Added: 18.02.2007

Thanks for organizing the race on the weekend. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and were very impressed at how smoothly the organizational side of things ran.

Please send my thanks to Thule for the bike rack I received as a lucky draw prize as well as to the other sponsors. I currently have 4 Salomon backpacks and find them so comfortable that I wouldn’t consider another brand.

I hope to be there for your next race at Langebaan.

Many thanks

Roger

Thank you for lending me your bike on Sunday. I would have had a very disappointed son to contend with otherwise !

The race was good. Tough, long, some nasty wind on the bike climb, but as you always say, this is NOT off-road triathlon ! There were times where we were “gatvol” of the kloofing, and on the 2nd lap of the bike we had a tough time going up the hill again into that pumping head-wind, but again, that’s racing. I think I told the one camera-lady, that the kloofing was monotonous ! That was said after we had finished the 2nd (downstream) section in the river, and had banged ourselves silly all the way there! Michelle said they had clear water up in the front of the race, ie they could see where each rock was, how deep each pool was, whereas us back-markers were floundering in muddy water ! Not moaning, as afterwards one does look back and reflect. But sometimes during a race one gets a bit despondent, and moans a bit ! But, we are all fine, the better for it, still stiff and bruised, but smiling.

So, thanks for a good day, and a fantastic series.

See you at the next event.

Martin & Matthew.

Dankie vir race en pryse gister.

Van die meer as dertig sprint races wat ek al gedoen het was gister se roete in die top 3.

Die konbinasies was goed en trail running uitstekend

Cheers

Franco

Ugene

Thanks very much for the fantastic experience in Wolsley!  My team mate and I really had an amazing time; it was very much a learning curve!  We plan to hone our map reading skills and come much more prepared next time!

“Just a short note to say thank you very much for putting together a brilliant race on Saturday. I am sure a lot of hard work, and planning goes into it. I think everyone that took part thoroughly enjoyed your varied course, which had a few exciting elements to it. As you can see from your turn-out, it was a very popular event, of which the sport needs more of. The navigation was also not difficult, but yet not too basic either. I can certainly say that after doing a race like this, we (Buks & myself) are left highly motivated."

” See you at Quac 3.

Nikki.

“Just a quick note to say thank-you for a truly awesome race on Saturday. It was the most fun we've had on a race for a while. I must admit I was absolutely terrified going down those rapids!!! It was great to be able to finish a race before prize-giving (and with time to spare)! See you at the next one"

What a great race on sunday ! Thanks a lot. I conned my girlfriend into doing it with me and she loved it even though it was her first time on single track with a borrowed bike. Never the less, great fun !

thanks for providing the outdoorsy active types opportunities to stretch themselves and their friends. Sunday's race was great - I dont know how you manage to string together the paths and rivers so consistently well. My only one suggestion would be to work on the "transition" or "central area" ... I can imagine it is difficult, but for the wives / girlfriends / family to come and support - and for the majority of participants to stay for prizegiving, green grass, and shade is really necessary. The one you did in Grabouw was perfect for family to watch, and to hang around afterwards. Nevertheless, that would never be the excuse for why i dont participate, just maybe the reason why I wouldn't stay for prizegiving and to support the last teams coming in! But, great event, great series.

Thanks for adding your value to my life.

Thanks very much for entertaining us at Mount Rozier Estate yesterday. We

eventually packed up at about 16h30 after having knocked around the tennis ball

with the old cricket bat and put back about three bottles of Mount Rozier's finest.

Anyway, we had a great day and look forward to doing it again some time. Ugene,

perhaps we can make a habit of wine tasting after QUAC events, there seem to go

together very well.

Thanks for a great event.

Cheers,

Jeremy
