THE COASTAL AMAZING RACE

Adapted from the popular TV show – The Amazing Race – will ensure that, during your day out, your employees will interact in a refreshing, fun & multi-level outdoor adventure. The ‘race’ takes place along the picturesque coastline of False Bay and is fast becoming a popular choice for a unique teambuilding experience. We can also start in the CBD and finish at a location of your choice.

Experience It
Your group will be divided into smaller teams and are briefed to complete a host of physical, mental and information gathering tasks. The teams will receive route/clue booklets upon starting. The tasks/challenges take place in various locations. Once the clock starts – so does the competitive spirit & adrenaline and your teams are bound to experience an eventful & fun-filled adventure.

Package
Without revealing too much of the top-secret action, the groups will be tasked with a range of adventurous activities in 3 broad categories:

Physical – can range from snorkelling to hunting for beach clues to abseiling. This can all be tailored to suit each Company/group.
Mental – collecting subtle clues en-route.
Information gathering – acting as ‘secret agents’ to record information.

Hat, sunscreen, beach wear, camera, comfy takkies, warm top/rain jacket.

BEACH OLYMPICS

We are spoiled with choice when it comes to stunning beaches on the Cape Peninsula, Cape Town, and one of the best ways to experience these is to “go and play” on them. We will make it happen for you!

Experience It
An assortment of fun, simplistic and creative activities designed to bring out the inner child in all of us.

Activities could include - paddling inflatable boats in the waves, building giant sand castles whilst blindfolded, beach volley ball/cricket/touch rugby, tube race in the shallows and many more.

Package
You will be separated into competing teams and race against each other or the clock in order to see who become the “Beach Olympic” team champions.

This team building event is a half day in duration and is usually followed by a relaxing spit braai or picnic lunch on the beach.

Requirements
Hat, sunscreen, beach wear, camera and a good sense of humour!

Beach Olympics / Survivor Combo

Combining a mini “adventure race” incorporating assorted outdoor adventure activities and Beach Olympics.

Experience It
The best of both! During the morning, teams will compete in a variety of beach activities. We'll then move to a different venue within walking distance from the beach and continue the action with a variety of "Survivor styled" team challenges on the large lawns at this great venue.

Activities could include - paddling inflatable boats in the waves, solving lateral thinking puzzles and completing mildly physical co-ordination challenges!

Package
You will be separated into teams and compete against each other or the clock in order to see who becomes the overall champs!

This event is a full day in duration and is usually followed by a relaxing spit braai or picnic lunch.

Requirements
Hat, sunscreen, beach wear, camera and a good sense of humour!

COOK-A-TEERING

A great way to test your culinary skills whilst exploring the outdoors and building friendships. Be prepared for lots of laughter!

Experience it
Teams of 4 will take part in a "potjie" cooking competition. They will compete in various mildly physical and mental challenges in order to get ingredients. Teams will then start their fires [without fire lighters...] and create their potjie according to their own recipes. They will be judged according to presentation, texture and taste of the potjie they created.

Teams compete against each other in mental and mildly physical challenges. The winning team of each challenge will have the opportunity to select their ingredients for that challenge first.

Package

Once teams have all the ingredients available, they will plan and prepare a traditional "potjie" based on their own recipe. Teams will be judged at the end according to their team work and presentation, taste and texture of the potjie they created.

Hat, sunscreen, comfortable clothing, running/walking shoes, camera and a good sense of humour!

THE MASTERPIECE

The ideal “art” challenge to bring out those creative skills amongst the team. Each team will receive a small segment of a larger image – “The Masterpiece”. So grab your brush and paint your way to success!

Experience it
Designed as an active, dynamic workshop, participants will engage with each other on a different level. You will witness your staff taking risks and employing innovative, creative thinking while having fun with each other.

Package
The aim is to paint or sketch “The Masterpiece” on a larger scale according to your perception. Once the entire team’s segments are complete, they are fitted together to see the resemblance between the original image and the “created” image.

The final result can be quite breathtaking and could be mounted in your offices.

Requirements
For outdoor event – bring appropriate protection for winter/summer weather and an old pair of trousers and shirt to wear during the event.

The quoted figure above is based on the event being held in the Simon’s Town area. For events in other area this could change. A deposit of 50% is required to make a booking. SURVIVOR/ADVENTURE CHALLENGE

An assortment of different events are strung together to form a continuous series of challenges. Teams compete against one another, scoring points according to how well they complete the various tasks on hand. At the end of the day, points are tallied, and the team that has accumulated the most points walks away the winner.

Experience It
The tasks are varied and provide an option for mental and physical prowess to be exercised. We are able to include/exclude events that are to your liking, and can thus tailor the day to suit your exact needs.

ABSEIL AND ASSISTED ROCK CLIMB

Does the thought of hanging 30m off the end of a cliff face excite you? Or would you rather be stuck to the rock trying to make your way up instead of down? Either way, we can offer you an action packed morning or afternoon of abseiling and rock climbing to get the blood pumping through those veins.

Experience It
Experience some of the most undisturbed panoramic vistas the Cape Peninsula has to offer. With uninterrupted sea views from the Point to Muizenberg and beyond, these two activities are highly recommended for the traveller looking to experience the sheer beauty of the Cape Floral kingdom.

With venues less than 40 minutes from the centre of Cape Town, this is the perfect event to include when time is of the essence but you want something that will get delegates out of their suits and onto something a bit more extreme.

CRAYFISHING WITH CAPE FISHERMEN

Catch your Crayfish lunch with local Cape Fishermen

Experience a day in the life of Cape fishermen who will teach you how to catch crayfish, followed by a mouth watering seafood sensation in their home in Ocean View, Kommetjie! seasonal : November to April,

Experience It
Meet Lashano, your skipper, at Imhoff Farm in Kommetjie, situated 40 minutes from Cape Twon. from there you will be escorted to the launch site on the shores of Kommetjie.

Lashano will help you onto an authentic fishing boat and drive you out to where the exquisite "Red Gold" (crayfish) hides out. Melshaw and Shakes, your fellow deck hands, will teach you how to bait the crayfish nets, show you where to place them in the water and the best technique of pulling them up without losing any of those delicious crayfish.

Crayfish regulations are strict in South Africa and your fellow deck hands will show you which crayfish you may keep and which ones need to be released back into the wild.

Once lunch has been secured on deck, you will head back to shore and straight to Lashano and Melshaw's home in Ocean View. Here Cheryl, your chef, will welcome you with open arms and a huge smile. Cheryl is well known for her delicious seafood dishes and was featured with Jamie Oliver in Food and Wine magazine. She will show you how to grill your crayfish, but if you would rather just sit back and relax next to the fire while she prepares your food for you, that's okay too.

If you are you for it Malshaw will walk you up to the local shebeen for a drink to cool down before lunch.
